You have to assume that everyone else put the lowest integer possible. so then the equation is set up as:
(1+1+1+1+X)/5=15. x+4 = 75. x=71
2) You can set this up too. 1/3th of the balloons are red. That means that 1/6th of the balloons are green, and consequently since the sum of all the fractions must = 1, that means 1/2 of the balloons are blue.
if there are 18 blue ballooons, there are 36 total
3) The larger containers-- well, first of all the larger containers are the ones where fewer of them equals X. 8 of them equals X. That means that each one is 1/8x in size.
